Iran’s 13th Cinema Verite filmfest opens

The 13th Iran International Documentary Film Festival (Cinema Vérité) has opened at Charsu Cineplex today in Tehran.

Behind the Scene of the movie ‘The Lovers' Wind’, directed by Albert Lamorisse, was screened at the opening ceremony of the event.

Some of the Iranian great cineastes including Manouchehr Tayab, Mohammadreza Aslani, Kamran Shirdel, Ahmad Zabeti Jahromi, Mohammad Tahaminejad, and Hossein Torabi were among the attendees.

Organized by the Documentary and Experimental Film Center, the first edition of the Cinéma Vérité was held in 2007.

Over the past decade, it has emerged as one of the important events on Iran's documentary film calendar.

The 13th edition of the Cinéma Vérité is slate for December 9-16, 2019.
